Rain in parts of Himachal Pradesh

SHIMLA: Moderate rain occurred in some places in Himachal Pradesh today and visibility remained poor as a pall of haze hung over the landscape.Shimla and its surrounding areas received intermittent rainfall, causing further fall in the mercury.Nehri was the wettest in the region with 27 mm rain, followed by Dharamsala 23 mm, Pachhad and Renuka 20 mm, Dharampur and Nahan 19 mm, Solan 17 mm, Dalhousie 11 mm, Shimla and Manali 9 mm, Kasauli and Kufri 7 mm, Kandaghat 5 mm, Jubbarhatti, Kangra and Theog 4 mm, and Kalpa 3 mm.The local MeT office has predicted rain and thunderstorm in mid-hills from June 18 to 20, rain and thundershowers in lower hills, and rain or snow in higher hills tomorrow.Una was the hottest in the region with a maximum temperature of 32.2 degrees Celsius.Nahan and Sundernagar recorded their maximums at 28.2 and 26.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Solan and Bhuntar 26, Dharamsala 24, Palampur 23.8, Shimla 21.7, Kalpa 16.4 and Keylong 13.2 degrees Celsius.The night temperatures dropped marginally and Manali was the coldest in the state with a low of 9.2 degrees Celsius.Kalpa and Keylong recorded minimum temperatures at 10.0 and 11.4 degrees Celsius, followed by Shimla 13.5, Solan 16.8, Palampur and Bhuntar 19.5, Dharamsala 20.2, Nahan 21 and Sundernagar 21.3 degrees Celsius.
