SHIMLA: Three minor girls who had gone missing while on their way to school from Balika Ashram, Tutikandi, Shimla, on Wednesday morning, have been traced at ISBT, Chandigarh. They will be brought to Shimla on Thursday night. When the girls were found absent from school, police launched a search operation.When the girls were found absent, the department of women and child development called the police. “A police team swung into action and found the three girls in Chandigarh. Police will bring them back to Shimla tonight,” the department spokesperson said.Police used intelligence inputs and footage from CCTV cameras to trace the girls. After investigations, it was found that the girls left for Chandigarh on their own. Earlier, it was feared they had been kidnapped. The girls left Balika Ashram, Tutikandi for school on Wednesday morning but instead of reaching school, they went to Chandigarh. Sources said that one of the girl belongs to Mandi, another is from Solan while the third is from Nepal. Two are students of Class IX while one is student of Class X.
