Monsoon covers most parts of region

SHIMLA: The south-west monsoon that arrived in most parts of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, further advanced into the remaining districts of Sirmaur, Solan, Una and Bilaspur. During this period, heavy to very heavy rainfall is also very likely to occur at isolated places. Shimla Meteorological Centre has stated that rainfall will continue in the state for next four days.The met department has also warned to landslides and falling of trees over the sensitive areas. Maximum temperature decreased by 9 to 10 degrees Celsius while no appreciable change in minimum temperatures was recorded during last 24 hours.On Wednesday, monsoon had advanced in the districts of Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, Kullu , Mandi, Kangra, Chamba, Shimla and parts of districts of Solan, Una and Bilaspur.

Maximum temperature decreased by 9 to 10 degrees Celsius while no appreciable change in minimum temperatures was recorded during last 24 hours.On Wednesday, monsoon had advanced in the districts of Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, Kullu , Mandi, Kangra, Chamba, Shimla and parts of districts of Solan, Una and Bilaspur. Waterlogging may occur in the fields of Kharif crops in the lower districts of state.Shimla Meteorological Centre director Manmohan Singh said that rainfall and thunderstorm activity had already started over Himachal from Tuesday afternoon. He said that from June 1 to 27 this year, state had recorded rainfall of 67.3 mm, which is 12% less than normal precipitation during this period.He said that Una district (70.2mm) has recorded 41% more rainfall than its normal values (highest in all districts).He said that Mandi districts (150.3mm), Kangra (117.8mm), Shimla (101.9mm), Sirmaur (102.6mm), Kullu (65.2mm), Hamirpur (97.5mm) and Solan (106.6mm) have received normal rainfall. He said that Bilaspur (-49%), Chamba (-45%), Kinnaur (-76%) and Lahaul-Spiti (-21%) districts have received less than normal rainfall.During last 24 hours, rainfall occurred at most places over the state while heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in the districts of Una and Bilaspur. The lowest temperature recorded at Keylong was 8.7 degrees Celsius while highest temperature recorded at Paonta Sahib was 33 degrees Celsius.Significant Rainfall was recorded at Una 91 mm, Nainadevi 60 mm, Mehre 57 mm, Dharamshala 54 mm, Nadaun 52 mm, Renuka 50 mm, Palampur, Nagrota Surian, Dalhousie and Jogindernagar 47mm each, Hamirpur 45 mm, Dehragopipur 43 mm, Paonta and Nahan 42 mm each, Manali 41 mm, Aghar, Sujanpur and Salooni 40 mm each, Guler 39 mm, Sundernagar, Berthin and Chamba 35 mm each. Pandoh and Kufri 27 mm each, Bhuntar and Jubbarhatti 26 mm each, Shimla 24 mm, Chhatrari 23 mm, Keylong22 mm and Bijahi, Jhanjehli 21 mm each. As per the weather forecast for next four days, rain and thundershowers are very likely to occur at most places over the state till June 30 and many places over the state on July 1. During this period, heavy to very heavy rainfall is also very likely to occur at isolated places.
