Rift among Himachal Congress leaders comes to the fore during Rajni Patils visit

She admitted that there were rifts within the party but she warned the leaders not to take their differences in public.“We have started working from today, we would start visiting party headquarters from district level to booths. Both Rattan and Pathania belong to the Virbhadra camp and have lost last elections due to factionalism.Meanwhile, Patil said that the party has started working on road map for the parliamentary elections. If there were differences between any leader they should not take it to public or media otherwise I would not hesitate from taking stern action,” Patil said. DHARAMSALA: A rift among the Himachal Pradesh Congress leadership came to the fore during the maiden visit by Rajni Patil , the newly-appointed state in-charge on Monday.The Congress convention turned into a battle ground amid confrontations between camps of former chief minister Virbhadra Singh and party's state chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.Both the factions tried to target each other during the convention.The Party function began with sloganeering between the supporters of former ministers GS Bali and Sudhir Sharma.Leaders on stage had to toil hard to control the ruckus among the gathering.Targeting Sukhu, Sudhir Sharma asked Rajini Patil from the stage that to get real feedback about the party and its leaders.Sharma said that Patil should meet the party workers in Sukhu's absence.While, Sanjay Rattan and Kewal Pathania had heated arguments with Sukhwinder Sukhu stating that latter should not have invited the Congress leaders who worked against them during last assembly elections.
