Cabinet gives nod to fill 200 posts of doctor

Nod was given to fill six posts of junior draftsman in town and country planning department on contract basis. To encourage industrial investment in the state, approval was given to necessary amendments to Grant of Incentives, Concessions and Facilities to Industrial Units in Himachal Pradesh, 2011.The decision was also taken to start tele-medicine services in Pangi in Chamba district through Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited besides opening town planning offices at Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district and Amb in Una district, along with creation of requisite posts to man these offices.It also gave approval to upgrade town planning office, Manali, as sub-divisional town planning office, along with creation and filling of requisite staff posts. It was decided to start science (medical and non-medical) classes at Government Degree College, Seraj (Lambhathach) in Mandi district, along with creation of necessary staff.A decision was also taken to introduce Digipay system for Aadhar-linked cashless transactions at fair price shops run by the state government through common services centres scheme-special purpose vehicle for the convenience of consumers and for bringing transparency in PDS.Approval was given to open fire post at Banjar in Kullu district along with requisite staff and vehicles on the pattern of Thunag and Karsog. SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh cabinet in a meeting held on Monday decided to fill 200 posts of MBBS doctor on regular basis through Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission and 714 posts of staff nurse in health and family welfare department through Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur, on contract basis.In the cabinet meeting chaired by chief minister Jai Ram Thakur, it was felt that the decision would go a long way in coping with the shortage of doctors and staff nurses in health institutions and in providing better health services to the people.In order to provide major relief to consumers under PDS, the cabinet decided to reduce the price of sugar to above poverty line (APL) ration card holders from Rs 29 per kg to Rs 24 and for beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act, 2013, from Rs 18 to Rs 13 per kg.Nod was given to implementation of the support price under the Market Intervention Scheme for procurement of mango and apple by increasing their support price for fruits by 50 paise per kg.
