Israel nationals Old Manali residents scuffle on road

MANALI: Days after a tourist from Delhi slapped cops over parking, a traffic-related argument between a local resident and an Israeli biker in Old Manali on Thursday turned into a scuffle between the two, with more joining in. Police have registered a case under various sections of the IPC.However, Israel national Asher has also alleged that he was beaten up by Sain and police have registered a case under the IPC Act. “Statements of both the sides have been recorded and investigation is going on,” she said.

Police received three complaints and have registered cross FIR in the case.Old Manali resident Bhim Sain complained to cops that when he was going to his orchard along with his family in a car traffic was moving slowly due to jam. He said an Israel national came along riding his bike from the opposite direction and they got into an argument over right of way. He said the biker hit him, leaving him injured. Soon after, he said, other Israelis also assaulted him and took away the car keys. Police have registered a case under various sections of the IPC.However, Israel national Asher has also alleged that he was beaten up by Sain and police have registered a case under the IPC Act. Kullu superintendent of police Shalini Agnihotri said cross FIRs have been registered. “Statements of both the sides have been recorded and investigation is going on,” she said.
