‘HRTC bus not allowed to enter Chandigarh bus stand’

“We were lucky that we came to know about the arrival of the bus so we rushed towards it. But it was such a hassle,” said Sanjay Sharma, a passenger.When contacted, HRTC regional manager at Dharamshala, Pankaj Chadha, said he would get details of the incident and other buses have been told to carry all there valid documents with them to avoid hassle. Most of them had booked their tickets online. DHARAMSHALA: Passengers travelling from Chandigarh to Dharamshala on an air-conditioned HRTC bus on Friday were a harried lot as an afternoon bus was not allowed to dock at the inter-state bus terminus (ISBT), Sector 43, Chandigarh.According to information, the 3.30 pm HRTC bus was not allowed inside the ISBT due to a dispute over paper formalities.Driver of the bus, who didn’t want to be named, said a few representatives of the Centre of Indian Trade Union (CITU) had sought the permit and time table of the bus and both the documents were not available with them.It is learnt that passengers had to rush outside to board the bus.
