Heavy rains and thundershowers triggered landslides in several parts of Himachal Pradesh Thursday, police said. NH 5 was also blocked for some time due to the landslides, resulting in traffic snarls, they said. Three vehicles parked near the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital and two vehicles at Tibetan market were also damaged, the police said. According to the data recorded between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm Thursday, 20 mm of rainfall was recorded in Shimla, 34 mm in Sunni and 30 mm each in Fagu and Chail. Singh said 32 mm of rainfall was recorded at Banzar in Kullu district, 15 mm in Manali, 14 mm in Sarahan and 11 mm of rainfall was recorded at Bharwain in the last 24 hours.
