HP House pays homage to Pulwama martyrs

After paying homage, House was adjourned for the day.Thakur said that the state government would provide assistance to the bereaved family members of Tilak Raj. He said that Rs 20 lakh would be provided as ex gratia grant to them. He also said that following Pulwama incident, high alert has been sounded in all districts of Himachal Pradesh and security has been beefed up in borders along Jammu & Kashmir in Kangra and Chamba districts.MLA Rakesh Singha said that he would also contribute to the ex-gratia amount announced by the chief minister to the family of Tilak Raj. And according to MLA Rakesh Pathania, Tilak Raj has two sons and one of them is just 30 days old.Speaker Dr Rajeev Bindal said that while securing the borders, 70,000 soldiers have sacrificed their lives for the nation in the last 40 years.Dinner cancelledExpressing grief over the incident, governor Acharya Dev Vrat has called off a dinner, which was to be organised on Friday evening at Raj Bhawan for the members of State Assembly. Budget dinner is a tradition in the Raj Bhawan.
