7723 polling stations set up in Himachal

SHIMLA: For the parliamentary election polling scheduled for May 19 in Himachal Pradesh , a total of 7723 polling stations have been set up. In Kangra parliamentary constituency 1874 polling stations have been set up, 2079 polling stations have been set up in Mandi parliamentary constituency , 1764 polling stations have been set up in Hamirpur parliamentary constituency and 2006 polling stations have been set up in Shimla parliamentary constituency.Chief Electoral Officer Devesh Kumar said that for all 68 Assembly Constituencies, strong rooms an counting halls have been set up in the state besides 18 separate locations for the counting of votes on May 23.He said that Kangra Parliamentary Constituency, 17 strong rooms have been set up for the storage of polled EVMs. For Shimla parliamentary constituency, 17 strong rooms have been set up. In Hamirpur parliamentary constituency, 17 strong rooms have been set up. He said that for Mandi PC, 17 strong rooms have been set up.
