Heavy rains Before pre monsoon, Cloud bursts and landslides block highway

Heavy rains lashed Solan district on Tuesday. There has been heavy damage due to cloudburst in Kandhar village of Mangal, Gram Panchayat of Arki Tehsil of Solan. Here the vehicles were washed away and the debris entered the houses. People have demanded the administration to provide relief. Weather to remain clear after june 6. 

 It is raining heavily in Himachal Pradesh even before the pre-monsoon season.

On Tuesday afternoon, there was heavy rain in many areas of the state. Clouds burst at two places in Chamba and Solan and caused a lot of damage. Hail has fallen in many areas including Mandi, Shimla.

Rainbow appeared after rain in Shimla.

Heavy rain in Chamba, many scooters washed away. Cloud burst also seen in Mugla ward adjoining Bahichamba. Thankfully there was no casualty here.

Eyewitnesses say that after it rained at 4 o`clock in the evening, the water from the drain went into the houses of the people. A lot of debris has entered inside the Mugla Shiva temple.

Many scooters and bikes got washed away in the water. There is a lot of anger among the people due to the lack of proper drainage in the drain.

Naib Tehsildar Sandeep told that he got information on phone that rain water has entered the houses of people in Mugla. Also vehicles have been damaged. He told that water also entered the Mugla Shiv temple and people have pulled out the debris.

Highway closed in Kullu.

Due to heavy rains in the Banjar Valley of Kullu, the Aut-Ani-Sainj Highway-305 connecting the outer Saraj was closed due to debris coming from the hill near Larji.

The NH remained closed for traffic from around 4 o`clock in the evening. Due to this, there were queues of vehicles on both sides of the road. It rained heavily in Bilaspur district for about half an hour on Wednesday afternoon. Along with the rain, there was hailstorm for about 10 minutes.

The weather is expected to remain clear in the plain districts of Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Kangra from Thursday.

The weather is forecast to remain inclement in the central hill districts of Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Mandi, Kullu, Chamba and high hill areas Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti till June 5.

Maximum temperature is 37.0 in Una, 35.0 in Bilaspur, 34.7 in Hamirpur, 34.5 in Kangra, 32.7 in Chamba, 32.8 in Sundernagar, 31.6 in Bhuntar, 30.0 in Nahan, 29.5 in Solan, 26.8 in Dharamsala, 21.6 in Kalpa, 21.0 in Shimla, Dalhousie recorded 19.5 and Keylong 17.9 degrees Celsius. From June 6, the weather has been forecast for the entire state to be clear.
