Prem Kumar Dhumal meets Narendra Modi

SHIMLA: Leader of opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal on Thursday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union home minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi to discuss the current political situation in Himachal Pradesh.During the meeting, Dhumal requested Modi for laying foundation stones of AIIMS at Bilaspur, IIM Sirmaur, Central University at Dehra, and Hydro Engineering College at Bilaspur.Dhumal said a detailed discussion on political situation of Himachal Pradesh was held in the meeting. "We also discussed the development schemes of Centre being implemented in the state. I thanked Prime Minister for providing much awaited air connectivity to Shimla as on April 27 Prime Minister would launch the UDAN scheme in India from Shimla," he added.He said Centre has already made the provision of Rs 150 crore to open super specialty in Shimla and a technical institute for skill development.After his with meeting Modi, Dhumal also met union minister Rajnath Singh.In the wake of CBI and ED stepping up cases of disproportionate assets and Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) registered against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and others, this visit to New Delhi by the opposition leader may hold much significance.
