BJP seeks benefit from PM Narendra Modi’s visit

SHIMLA: BJP in Himachal Pradesh is going to sound the poll bugle with the rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Ridge, Shimla, on April 27. The party has planned to mobilise massive crowd in the rally for which already duties have been assigned to the party leaders. He said for next three days cleanliness drive would be launched in all the wards of Shimla during which party workers would also invite people for the rally. Duties have been assigned to party leaders and workers to bring maximum people from Shimla parliamentary constituency that includes Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts besides Bilaspur and Kinnaur districts and Ani, sub-division of Kullu district. Our target is to bring 500 people from each ward to the rally.Sources said that BJP has set the target of ensuring presence of around a lakh people in the rally.

As the election of Shimla municipal corporation are due in May, BJP is eyeing to benefit from Modi's visit.To assess the arrangements being made for the rally, a meeting was held at state party office on Saturday which was chaired by Nahan MLA and chief spokesperson Dr Rajeev Bindal.Bindal said that "parivartan rally" would be historic through which BJP would launch its campaign from assembly election in Himachal Pradesh. He said for next three days cleanliness drive would be launched in all the wards of Shimla during which party workers would also invite people for the rally. Our target is to bring 500 people from each ward to the rally.Sources said that BJP has set the target of ensuring presence of around a lakh people in the rally. To ensure this, various committees have been formed. Duties have been assigned to party leaders and workers to bring maximum people from Shimla parliamentary constituency that includes Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts besides Bilaspur and Kinnaur districts and Ani, sub-division of Kullu district.
