However, agency reports put the number of injured at 120.Personnel from the Army, Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K police and CRPF were conducting a cordon and search operation in the area when holed-in terrorists opened fire, triggering a gunfight in which two terrorists were killed. One of the terrorists was identified as Sameer Ahmad Sheikh from Shopian’s Rawalpora, a school dropout who had joined the outfit in April 2018, whlie the other was identified as Babar, a JeM commander from Pakistan “On the basis of documents and other incriminating evidence obtained from the encounter site, one of the slain terrorists was identified as Sameer Ahmad Sheikh from Shopian’s Rawalpora.
