The Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Bakerwal Youth Welfare association today staged a protest against delay in reopening of the PG Hostel facilities for the students. Scores of youths from the association stage demonstrations at Press Enclave. “We come from far flung areas and cannot afford to live in rented rooms. The government has started this facility ten years ago but the students of Kashmir are being deprived from this facility” said Choudhary Showkat Shabir one of the protestors. The students alleged that the tribal affairs department has also failed to provide ST scholarships.
