J&K footballer joins Lashkar-e-Taiba, shocks relatives, friends

SRINAGAR: A 20-year-old footballer from Anantnag district joined terror organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba a few days ago, highlighting the dangerous trend of young boys being radicalised in the strife-torn Kashmir valley Majid Khan of Sadiqabad locality in Anantnag was allegedly lured into terrorism by LeT militant Shamsul Viqar of Gunjpore, who was arrested by police on Wednesday, along with Hizbul Mujahideen operative Aaqib Ahmad.Majid, a second year BA student at Government Boys' Degree College, was also a volunteer at a charity organisation, and his decision to join the terror outfit left his friends, family and relatives shocked.
