Fire breaks out in dyeing mill

Fire brigade personnel from Bhestan fire station reached the site and doused the fire in 30 minutes in the evening. Fire brigade personnel from Majura and Mandarwaja fire stations had been kept on standby.A fire brigade officer said the fire was small, but smoke that billowed up in massive wave scared the people. Surat: A fire erupted reportedly due to a short circuit in the dumping room of Krishna Dyeing Mills at Pandesara GIDC here on Tuesday.Old furniture from chairs to tables and material such as air-conditioners of the mill dumped in the room were gutted in the fire. There were no casualties in the fire. The mill is owned by Girish Ahuja.
