Undertrial commits suicide in Lajpore Central Jail

Surat: An undertrial Ramprakash Rammurat (31) committed suicide in Lajpore Central Jail here on Friday. Jail officials suspect he killed himself because he was frustrated over not getting bail. He was involved in six offences, including theft loot and dacoity , and lodged in Lajpore Central Jail for the past one year.Jailor H R Chaudhary said Rammurat had strangled himself with a towel in his barrack number A84 in the morning. His body was sent for postmortem.
