PAAS convener Alpesh Kathirya threatened, one booked

Police booked Abhi Jeera alias Abhishek Patel in Kapodra police station on Wednesday for allegedly issuing threat to Kathiriya in a video. We are yet to arrest the accused,” said a police officer at Kapodra police station. Police have arrested one accused Pratik Kachhi , who was involved in attack on Kathiriya.Police believe that Abhishek shot the video after attacking Kathiriya.

The video went viral on social media on Tuesday and on receiving it Kathirya lodged the complaint."Police have registered the complaint and investigation has been started. We are yet to arrest the accused,” said a police officer at Kapodra police station. Police have arrested one accused Pratik Kachhi , who was involved in attack on Kathiriya.Police believe that Abhishek shot the video after attacking Kathiriya. In the video the accused is threatening to thrash Kathiriya again and indirectly warning him of dire consequences.On Monday evening, a group of five men including Abhishek arrived near Kathiriya’s home in Nana Varachha and attacked him after calling him outside of his home. They punched Kathiriya and injured him in lower back with a knife. Kathiriya did not suffer major injury in the attack. Kathiriya was attacked due to dispute between his younger brother and the accused.Kathiriya later went to lodge the complaint in Kapodra police station when a crowd gathered at the police station and vandalized two GSRTC buses after blocking the road.
