When he took the ghastly step, his mother was talking with a neighbour at the main door of their house.Police suspect that he hanged himself after seeing some suicide scene on TV. Akshay was studying in Gajera School in Sachin GIDC, most likely in class II or class III. “It’s an extremely shocking incident and we were also not sure if the young boy could commit suicide. However, preliminary post-mortem and investigation reveals that he took the drastic step,” said RD Faldu, assistant commissioner of police. However, police are probing all angles.Police will question the family members to find out whether Akshay was depressed due to his critical illness or was there any other trigger. Preliminary examination showed that the mark on his neck was due to hanging, not strangulation.
