The AirAsia flight from Bengaluru was diverted to Indore, and finally landed in Surat after the condition improved in the evening.” Surat: Heavy rain and inclement weather , resulted in diversion of two flights from Surat airport to Ahmedabad and Indore airports on Thursday.Official sources said that a SpiceJet flight from Delhi to Surat was diverted to Ahmedabad in the morning while, an AirAsia Bengaluru-Surat flight was diverted to Indore.Airport director Sanjay Kumar Panigrahi said, “The SpiceJet flight could not land due to bad weather. The pilot circled in the sky for a long time with clearance for landing finally given at the Ahmedabad airport.
