Three flights diverted to Ahmedabad due to bad weather at Surat airport

SURAT: Bad weather in the Diamond City resulted in diversion of three flights to Ahmedabad on Monday.Official sources said three flights operated by SpiceJet, IndiGo and Air India from Goa and Delhi were diverted to Ahmedabad due to heavy rain and low visibility at Surat airport on Monday night.An officer at Surat airport said, “The three flights were diverted as pilots could not land due to low visibility at the airport. However, Air India flight from Delhi to Surat was able to land at the airport in second attempt.”
