Surat Municipal Corporation starts recovery of Rs 46 cr property tax from Reliance, BSNL

Surat: Investigation into three recent cases of rape of minor girls has been handed over to a woman police inspector on Thursday. P N Parmar, district government pleader of Bharuch, will be appointed special public prosecutor for these cases by city police. The investigation will be supervised by Vidhi Chaudhary, a woman IPS officer who is posted as deputy commissioner of police, headquarters.The woman police inspector will investigate two separate rape cases of five-year-old girls in Dindoli and that of a 12-year-old girl in an area under the limits of Athwa police station. Parmar was special prosecutor in the past too in some important cases.Meanwhile, senior state police officials offered city police leeway to take assistance of retired police officers in important cases subsequent to which a process has been initiated to reappoint two retired deputy superintendents of police.City police have proposed names of S A Jabbha and M M Munshi for temporary reappointments.
