Bihar man’s death not a hate crime: Jadeja

Surat: Minister of state for home Pradipsinh Jadeja said on Sunday that the death of 35-year-old Bihar native Amarjeet Singh was not an incident of hate crime but he had died in an accident.In an official statement, Jadeja said in the past one week, no serious incident of hate crimes against migrants have been reported in the state. It is our priority to ensure safety of all,” he stated.The minister said that Singh died after after his motorcycle crashed first into a tree and then hit the road divider. He reiterated state government’s commitment towards ensuring safety and security of all.“Along with six crore Gujaratis, those coming from other states for work here have contributed to the state’s development.
