SURAT: A 40-year-old woman committed suicide and killed her two children under a moving train near Udhna railway station of the city on Monday. Her third child, a 15-year-old daughter got up from railway track just before the train came and survived. Preliminary police investigation revealed that she took the extreme step due to frequent quarrels with husband who recently lost job.Aasha Patil, her daughter Deepali, 13, and son Manish, 11, died after getting crushed under a moving train between Bhestan and Udhna early on Monday. Her elder daughter Divya, 15, survived as she got up just before the train came.Police investigation revealed that all three children got up on hearing train’s noise but Patil held the two younger kids while the elder daughter managed to move away from the track.Residents of Avirbhav Society in Pandesara, Patil had frequent arguments with her husband Santosh in recent past. After a tussle she left home on Sunday night with the children and went to railway track. Santosh was employed in a textile weaving unit and he lost his job few days ago. Due to the job loss the family was facing severe financial crisis, relatives informed police.Registering a case of accidental death in railway police station, the police has started investigation.
