Man kills wife throws her body on rail tracks

The accused had left the body of his wife after killing her on the railway tracks just at a distance of 100 metres from their house. Surat: A man who had allegedly killed his wife and left the body on the railway tracks near Kosad to make it look like an accident and mislead police on November 11 was booked for murder on Thursday. The woman’s head was missing and the body didn’t have any clothes on it. Government Railway Police had initially registered a case of accidental death, but the post mortem report and investigation revealed that the woman was victim of a sinister plot. We are yet to find the head of the woman.”

Surat: A man who had allegedly killed his wife and left the body on the railway tracks near Kosad to make it look like an accident and mislead police on November 11 was booked for murder on Thursday. The woman’s head was missing and the body didn’t have any clothes on it. Government Railway Police had initially registered a case of accidental death, but the post mortem report and investigation revealed that the woman was victim of a sinister plot. Her throat had been slit with a sharp-edged weapon and the body subsequently placed on the tracks by the culprit to ensure it was cut into two by a passing train.Police investigation identified the body as that of Aarti, wife of Dipak, who lived in a rented house in Kosad. The accused had left the body of his wife after killing her on the railway tracks just at a distance of 100 metres from their house. The case was transferred to Amroli police station which registered it as a murder offence on November 14 and begun investigation.A police officer said, “Accused Dipak, husband of the victim, used to work in a textile unit at Anjani Industrial Estate. He has not been since for the past five days. We are yet to find the head of the woman.”
