Autorickshaw driver arrested for raping fiancee

SURAT: A rickshaw driver accused of raping his fiancee was arrested on Thursday.Accused Shahrukh Khan Pathan was booked by Amroli police after the woman lodged a complaint against him alleging after raping her he broke the engagement when she started resisting his sexual advances. The woman then approached Amroli police and lodged a complaint against him. He had lured her with a promise of marriage and they were engaged for four years. Two days after the crime, he called off the engagement and refused to marry her. However, whenever the woman insisted on getting married, he ignored the requests.A month ago, he went to the woman’s house in Kosad area and allegedly raped her.
