Surat Municipal Corporation starts recovery of Rs 46 cr property tax from Reliance, BSNL

Surat: A man and his son suffered burn injuries in a fire caused by a blast of a LPG cylinder in Pandesara area of the city on Monday. They have been admitted to New Civil Hospital.Fire brigade sources said the blast occurred in a room in Apeksha Nagar at Pandesara leaving Ujjan Sahu, 60, and his son Pinku Shau, 30, injured. The room was engulfed by fire and it damaged the ceiling made of tin and also destroyed household items. They suffered 10 per cent burns, fire brigade sources added.The blast happened due to leakage in the cylinder and soon after one of them lighted the gas stove in the morning.
