The results and the list of state toppers were declared by National Testing Agency.Somani, a student of a school affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, who is preparing for his class XII final examination, has scored in the 99.99th percentile in JEE Main.He plans to study computer science from IIT Bombay and again appear in the JEE Main examination to be conducted in April to further improve his percentile.“Of the two attempts in JEE, the highest score will be considered. Hence, I wish to try again,” he said. He found chemistry question paper tough compared to that of other subjects.Raghav prepared for seven hours a day and took breaks to keep himself free. He was focused on studies without distraction of social media. “Studying daily and small breaks kept me focused. I look forward to work with technology giant Google after completing my studies,” said Raghav.He took over 50 mock tests to prepare for JEE Main examination. He appeared and performed well in various national-level tests like National Talent Search Examination and Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY).His family helped him prepare for the examination. “Raghav was not allowed to eat outside so that he can maintain good health. We also supported him in taking up various tests,” said Kamal, father of Raghav. An officer in GST department, Kamal and his family are from Kishangarh in Rajasthan. They are in Gujarat for the past 25 years. Kamal is a postgraduate in science while Raghav’s mother is a graduate in arts.Raghav spends time by playing carrom and chess. He also learnt music and loves to read novels.
