They were booked for criminal breach of trust, cheating and forgery under various sections of Indian Penal Code on a complaint filed byPSI H G Gohil.“It is yet not clear why the accused used forged NOCs of Nepal Embassy. We are yet to find out why they didn’t get original NOCs,” said a police officer at Dumas police station. Police will produce Parajuli (man), a resident of Palan Chowk, and Bimla (woman), a resident of Lalitpur, in court on Wednesday and request their custody.The accused were living in New Delhi and had come to Surat to board Air India’s direct flight from the city to Sharjah.“As per rules, a Nepal resident if he wishes to go to any other country from India, is required to produce a NOC from Nepal Embassy. The duo needed clearance from the embassy but they produced forged NOCs,” the police officer added.
