No response to Aseemanand’s acquittal at Shabri Dham

There are activities planned at Shabri Dham. Shabri Dham was developed by Aseemanand based on the mythological belief that Subir is the same place where Shabri offered berries to Lord Ram.“We have just come to know about Swamiji’s acquittal. After his arrest in 2010, Aseemanand hardly visited the Shabri Dham, however, after getting bail he visited the place couple of times.After arrest of Sadhvi Pragya in 2008, the Shabri Dham that was symbol of anti-conversion movement was tagged as place where the plans of multiple bomb blasts were hatched by investigators. Since arrest of Pragya, Aseemanand was on run and ultimately arrested by CBI from Varanasi in 2010.Meanwhile, investigation by the anti-terror agencies revealed that Aseemanand had created base for Hindutva groups in the tribal-dominated Dang district of south Gujarat. Investigators had alleged that ‘bomb-for-bomb’ policy of the extremist groups was formulated at Shabri Dham between February 11 and 13, 2006.Dang district has been under scanner of multiple investigation agencies since the first unrest between Christian and Hindu groups reported in 1998.Shabri Kumbh was organised by saffron outfits in Dang in 2006.
