Congress and BTP together control Bharuch District Panchayat.Congress leaders are ready to give the seat to BTP, but wants the candidate to fight on Congress symbol. Bharuch/Surat: Congress party has been unable to decide on the candidate for Bharuch Lok Sabha seat despite holding several rounds of discussions with Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) of Chhotubhai Vasava. Some Congress leaders want the party to field its own candidate, either a tribal or someone from the minority community.BJP candidate Mansukh Vasava will file his nomination papers on Tuesday. However, BTP wants to fight the election only on its arrow symbol with Congress support.Bharuch constituency has a sizeable number of voters belonging to tribal and minority communities. Many senior BJP leaders are expected to accompany him in a rally to the district collectorate for filing of the nomination papers.
