Surat, May 5 (PTI) A court in Surat on Thursday sentenced Fenil Goyani, found guilty of killing 21-year old Grishma Vekariya in February, to death. On February 12, Goyani allegedly slit the throat of Grishma, a resident of Kamrej in Surat, in front of her family members and neighbours. Goyani, who was reportedly upset that she refused to be in a relationship with him, had also stabbed her relatives as they tried to rescue her. He later injured himself with the same knife. Many onlookers had captured the entire incident on their smartphones, and it proved to be a crucial piece of evidence for the prosecution. The police, who first took him to a hospital in Kamrej, arrested him on February 16. PTI PJT PD VT VT
