Surat Municipal Corporation starts recovery of Rs 46 cr property tax from Reliance, BSNL

Surat: Pre-monsoon showers lashed many parts of Dang and Navsari districts on Thursday evening.The rain accompanied by high velocity winds and lightning arrived in Vasada of Navsari district, Saputara, Wagai and Saputara in Dang around 4 pm and covered the entire area within 40 minutes. Vasada recorded 07mm, Wagai 13mm, Saputara 15mm and Subir 10mm of rainfall. Many people were caught off guard as they had not expected showers during the day. Some kuccha roofs of huts were blown away by the winds. Dharampur in Valsad district and Union territory of Silvassa too received pre-monsoon showers.An official said they expect some more showers in the next three days.He said there were no reports of any major damage from Saputara in the rains.
