SURAT: Two groups clashed over a tussle between neighbours in Nana Parsiwad of Khadki Bhagda in Valsad. Talking loudly over mobile phone led to attack on each other.The two groups clashed over a petty issue at around 12.30 midnight on Wednesday and attacked each other allegedly with swords, iron rods and blunt wooden objects. Both the groups lodged complaint against each other early on Wednesday. Police booked the accused for unlawful assembly and rioting charges.In the incident Prakash Patel alias PC and his four other associates attacked Sadiq Shaikh , 34, a resident of Nani Pardiwad in Khadki Bhagda. Shaikh was talking over his phone near his home when the accused Prakash, who was playing carrom with others, asked him to talk at low volume over phone. It led to argument among them and ultimately they attacked each other with weapons. Two persons suffered minor injuries and were hospitalised for treatment.A counter complaint was lodged by Prakash, 50, an auto rickshaw driver against Sadiq and his two associates Riyaz and Azmat. Prakash claimed that he asked Sadiq to talk at low volume over phone after which the later abused him. When Prakash asked him to stop, the accused attacked him and his friends also joined.
