Surat: Internet of Things (IoT) is a developing technology based on interconnection via internet of computing devices embedded in everyday objects, enabling them to send and receive data. It is a system of interrelated computing devices provided with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.Darshak Thakore, an expert from the United States, will deliver lectures on Internet of Things (IoT) in the city. His lectures will be organized on Tuesday in Indian Institute of Engineers Hall, opposite SVNIT, and on Saturday in K C Mehta Hall, MTB Arts College, Athwalines. The lectures are being organized by Ideas Worth Spreading (IWS) and Project Kaleidoscope, two citizen groups in the city. Thakore, who completed his studies from Michigan State University, the United States, is lead designer and architect of cable modems, set-top boxes and video coding over internet. He is currently associated with Cable Labs Corporation, a non-profit organization in the United States. tnn
