Signal glitch on Trans-Harbour hits commuters

A team of technicians reached the spot around 11.15pm after which trains were allowed to move but with speed restrictions.Commuters lamented that even after the snag was resolved, it took them nearly an hour to travel between Thane and Airoli. Thane: A technical snag in the signalling system on the Trans-Harbour corridor of Central Railway (CR) affected railway traffic between Thane and Vashi, Panvel for nearly 45 minutes late on Friday.The route was cleared nearly an hour later and late-night trains between Thane and Navi Mumbai were running behind schedule.Railway officials told TOI that the snag at Parsik was reported around 10:45pm after which movement of trains was suspended.
