Officials said the rains last week were comparatively less but still managed to dislodge the retaining wall along the road.“We have checked the spot where the Saturady incident happened and feel it is prone to more landslides in the monsoon and have also alerted the public works department to take corrective action. The administration has already sent warnings to residents asking them to evacuate their homes in the case of heavy rains as it is likely to trigger landslides.There are nearly 75,000 residents staying along the hill slopes in both Kalwa and Mumbra and they may face risks during the monsoon season when the land gets slippery and is prone to landslides, said officials. Officials said the rains last week were comparatively less but still managed to dislodge the retaining wall along the road.“We have checked the spot where the Saturady incident happened and feel it is prone to more landslides in the monsoon and have also alerted the public works department to take corrective action.
