Thane school adopts village in Yeoor Hill

Sulochanadevi Singhania School in Thane has initiated the 'adopt-a-village' project at Jambulpada in the Yeoor Hills region.The school, which is celebrating its 50th year, will provide primary health care facilities, water storage tanks, solar panels etc. We have also been training them in Maths, English, Yoga, sports etc. Revathi Srinivasan, principal and director (education) of the school said, "For the past two years, the kids from the tribal areas of Yeoor would come to our computer labs every Saturday to learn about developments in technology and computer operations. This year, we want to go beyond academics." MUMBAI: Smt.
