THANE: An 11-year-old resident of Nallasopara, who was traveling home from Varanasi, fell unconscious in the Mahanagari Express train at Thane at around 12.30pm on Sunday and died on her way to the civil hospital.RPF officials said that that the minor was travelling with her family and started complaining of breathlessness when the train halted at Thane station.She then reportedly fell unconscious in the train and was immediately put on a stretcher and taken to civil hospital where she was pronounced dead.The girl's father said that she was unwell and they had gone to Varanasi to get medicines for her."My daughter has had liver swelling issue, which causes respiratory distress since she was born. Every time she got an attack we would rush her to the nearest hospital and she would be fine. But she was under medication. We had gone to our hometown to visit our family doctor and get her medicines over the weekend. She collapsed in the train and did not make it this time," said Amit Singh , the father.
