The accused also tore Khatib's uniform, police said adding that he was thereafter taken to MFC police station."During his interrogation, he said his father is an inspector posted in Mumbai police headquarters," the officer said.Shinde was booked under IPC sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees), and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), police said adding that further investigation into the case is on.
