TMC’s 5-member panel to look into school problems

THANE: A five-member special committee will be formed by the civic education department to look into the problems faced by parents with regard to fee hike , lack of infrastructure, etc. “A five0member committe will be formed to conduct an inspection in all schools and see if the laws are being violated,” said a civic official. For example there is a fee hike every year which is not as per the norms mentioned under the Fee Regulation Act of 2011. We wanted our issues to be resolved. After hearing us out, the officials announced that they would organize an inquiry committee to see if all schools are complying with the rules.”The civic authority said that a committee will be formed who will be giving directives to all schools and again a meeting would take place after Diwali.

THANE: A five-member special committee will be formed by the civic education department to look into the problems faced by parents with regard to fee hike , lack of infrastructure, etc. The decision to this effect was taken following a joint meeting between the civic bureaucracy and a group of parents from across all the city schools on Saturday.The officials not only had an open discussion about an array of grievances put forth by the parents revolving around child safety, corporal punishment , to name a few but also re-assured them by announcing to take stern actions against the violators.Anubha Sahai, one of the parents said, “There are a lot of issues that parents are facing as the authorities are blatantly ignoring the laws be it the Right to Education Act, the child safety guidelines etc. We wanted our issues to be resolved. For example there is a fee hike every year which is not as per the norms mentioned under the Fee Regulation Act of 2011.
