Three months before SSC exams, state makes changes

MUMBAI: Three months ahead of SSC board exams, the state has introduced few changes in paper pattern for languages. For the English paper, students will now have to answer two sets of questions based on one unseen passage, instead of two. In Sanskrit, students will have to answer three types of questions worth eight marks instead of one.Uday Nare, a member of Shikshak Bharati Group, wrote to education minister Vinod Tawde against the changes. MSCERT, which created the syllabus this year, introduced few optional questions and changed some patterns. Students will have to pick between two types of creative writing questions.

MUMBAI: Three months ahead of SSC board exams, the state has introduced few changes in paper pattern for languages. Teachers have protested against the changes as students are well into the academic year, and have appeared for semester exams according to the old paper pattern.A circular by Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training on October 30 stated that the changes were introduced for English, Sanskrit and Marathi. MSCERT, which created the syllabus this year, introduced few optional questions and changed some patterns.
