A few city schools launch mobile-based digital apps to stay connected with parents

This will enable parents to know what is being taught in the class.”Some schools have also curated special mobile applications, providing parents with separate log-in ids and passwords so they can monitor their child’s activities real-time.“We have a mobile application called Myclassboard through which parents will get information regarding school announcements, fee circulars, notices of extra-curricular activities etc. But for parents we are planning to organize a technology session wherein we will be explaining the basics of these applications as most of our parents are not much aware of the latest technologies ,” said Shilpa Jejurkar, Principal of Arunodaya Public School.Purushottam Pachpande, a tech-expert said, “Many schools are developing applications wherein parents can get an alert about what time their ward reached and left school premises.”

Thane: Parents concerned about their child’s academic performance could now breathing a sigh of relief with several city-based schools launching their own digital connectivity programs sharing regular updates about their ward.Be it answering queries of anxious parents through multi-purpose mobile applications, to forming an online group with parents to inform of their wards’ activities, or training them on how to use the various digital interfaces which will help them connect with the teachers, city schools seems are keen on introducing the concept of digital co-parenting Revathi Srinivasan, Principal, Smt Sulochanadevi Singhania School, said, “We recently launched an application called Sulonian Quest. Our aim is to load the platform with video teaching modules done by our own teachers, a reservoir of questions - both subjective and objective, practice worksheets and YouTube links related to the chapters.
