KALYAN: Sakshi Nimse, 35, who last year allegedly plotted the killing of her husband, Shiv Sena leader Shailesh Nimse , with help of two of her relatives, committed suicide on Sunday afternoon inside Adharwadi jail in Kalyan.She was found hanging inside the jail bathroom. Her body has been sent to the state-run Central Hospital at Ulhasnagar for post-mortem. Khadakpada police said prison inmates have told them Sakshi was feeling guilty about her husband’s murder and, hence, ended her life.On April 20 last year, the half-burnt body of Nimse, who was Shiv Sena’s deputy chief in Shahapur taluka, was found from a village in Ganeshpuri. Police cracked the case by arresting his wife and two ‘contract killers’.Sakshi is said to have plotted the murder as her husband was in an illicit relationship. She feared he would desert her and deprive her of property rights. Jail sources told TOI, “On Sunday afternoon, when Sakshi did not come out of the bathroom for some hours, other women prisoners informed jail staff, who broke open the door and found her hanging.”
