37-year-old who jumped parole arrested after 13 years

THANE: A 37-year-old man who had jumped parole over 13 years ago while serving a life sentence was on Monday traced to Panvel taluka. He was lodged in Nashik central jail.“Gogavala had applied for parole in 2006, which was approved by the jail authorities. The additional district sesssions cour of Osmanabad had held him guilty and had sentenced him to life imprisonment. The accused, Ganesh Gogavale was convicted for abduction, dacoity and extortion in 1998 in Osmanabad. So the cops registered a case under Section 224 in 2013,” a police official said.On Monday, constable Ananda Bhillare received a tip-off that the accused had come at Bhingar village in Panvel taluka.
