Car driver mows down stray dog in Kalyan, booked

"When I learnt about the incident through a resident, I enquired and checked CCTV footage of the building in which I identified the car that hit the dog. The driver did not stopped after the accident. There has been no arrest yet," a police official said. Some locals rushed the injured canine to the hospital for treatment. KALYAN: A man has been booked for rash driving after he allegedly mowed down a stray dog by his car.The canine died during treatment at Bombay SPCA in Parel on Friday.The incident was captured in a CCTV camera installed in the area.The accident occurred a week ago on March 21 in Kashish Park Apartment in Khadakpada area.According to a complaint filed by Chandan Shadadpuri, an animal rights activist, a 15-year-old stray dog was hit by the speeding car (MH -47-N 3345) being driven by one Ramesh Jadhav.The car was in full speed when it hit the dog. The driver did not stopped after the accident.
