Illegal sale: Firecrackers worth Rs 43 lakh seized from Ulhasnagar shop

Thane, Sep 26 (PTI) Firecrackers being sold unauthorizedly in Ulhasnagar area of Maharashtra"s Thane district have been seized, a police official said on Monday. The items were confiscated after raids were carried out on a tip off that several shops were selling firecrackers without safety and civic licences, he added. He said firecrackers worth Rs 43.27 lakh have been seized from one shop and the father-son duo that owns it have been booked under Indian Penal Code and Explosives Act provisions. PTI COR BNM BNM
