THANE: Thane district guardian minister Shamburaj Desai said sitting Kalyan MP Shrikant Shinde, who is also CM Eknath Shindes son, will contest from the same seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha election, laying to rest all speculations about any possible rift between the BJP and Shiv Sena over this seat. "Shrikant Shinde should be the candidate and he will contest on the bow-and-arrow symbol," Desai said while addressing the media on Tuesday. He further said that CM Shinde and his deputies Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar will sit together to finalise the seat-sharing formula of the Mahayuti, whi-ch comprises nine parties, for the LS polls. "We will ensure that we bag more than 200 seats as assured by the CM on the floor of the House in his first address,"he said.
