THANE: A 31-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a housewife at her Gokulnagar residence when she was alone at home with her infant last week.Senior police inspector R M Somvanshi of Rabodi police station, said the incident took place at 5pm on Friday when the victim's husband had gone out for some work while her infant was at home."Sunil Rajbhar, the accused, entered the victim's house and sexually assaulted her. The women resisted and in the process she also received scratches on her hands. She screamed for help, which alerted her neighbours. They rushed to her help but Rajbhar panicked and fled the spot."When the victim's husband returned home, she narrated the incident to him and he promptly registered a complaint with the Rabodi police against Rajbhar."Rajbharl was arrested from his house on Friday night after the victim's husband filed a complaint. He will be produced in the chief judiciary court on Saturday. He has been booked under Sections 354(b), 452, 427 of the Indian Penal Code." added senior police inspector Somvanshi.
